Havana.- The United States and Cuba signed an agreement in order to protect the vast array of fish and corals they share as countries separated by just 90 miles of sea.
Santo Domingo.- Tourism minister Francisco Javier Garcia said this month that the sector grew 17% in September and predicts a 10% jump by year end. Garcia added that Dominican Republic´s tourism is at its greatest moment in history.
The Guardian Havana.-Tour operators around the globe are reporting such high demand for travel to Cuba that hotel rooms in Havana are selling out months in advance, with some agencies unable to offer availability until April next year.
London.- According to a press release, the Caribbean Tourism Organization its newly redesigned website (www.caribbean.co.uk) for the UK is now online for consumers and trade. This dynamic website, designed by Experience Engine, a full-service digital agency, will provide users with a wealth of information about the Caribbean region.
A total of 18 international hotel chains have a total of 75 management and marketing contracts approved in Cuba, covering 85 hotels and 39,611 rooms, according to Ministry of Tourism data at the close of September 2015.
