The 23rd edition of MITM Americas, the most influential MICE B2B trade show in America and The Caribbean, began with a magnificent welcoming reception offered by the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba in the exquisite restaurant La Divina Pastora, a breath taking location with an outstanding view of the bay of Havana.
The work sessions took place in the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, emblem of MICE tourism in Cuba and all of Latin America. Throughout the trade show, over 4000 meetings took place among over the 200 tourism executives that participated in this edition that will generate an estimated business from mid to long term estimated in over 250 million dollars.
The work sessions where inaugurated by none other than the Minister of Tourism of Cuba, Manuel Marrero Cruz; “The Ministry of Tourism of Cuba happily welcomes the 23rd edition of MITM Americas, considered the most important MICE trade show in America and The Caribbean”.
Charo Trabado, CEO and CO-Founder of MITM Events, Acknowledged the great welcome the event has received and the quality of its participants: “For this edition, over 600 international executives have registered from associations, event organizers, incentive agencies, tour operators, wedding planners and luxury tourism operators from 65 countries, of which only the 80 with the highest business potential have been selected to meet with 50 exhibitors of the highest level specialized in MICE”.
This edition kicks off with great expectations generated by the high level international MICE executives attending the event, quality that is generated by the MITM System polished throughout 50 trade shows organized since 1997 in 38 cities of 18 countries, that was celebrated for its second consecutive year in Cuba.
This edition congregated companies from 27 countries: incentive houses, international associations, event organizers, congresses and conventions, tour operators, hotel chains, specialized agencies, DMC´s, etc.; conform this select group of participants.
After 3 editions held previously with great international repercussion that has generated considerable business for Cuba and MICE interest worldwide, the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba still places its trust in MITM Americas as part of its strategic plan to foster this tourism sector in the island. In this extraordinary occasion: The 500 year anniversary in the city of Havana.
