London.– According to British Airways, Dominican Republic is one of the top 13 destinations to visit in 2013 as a result of poll on the airline’s Facebook page. Over 2,660 users nominated the overseas destinations they most want to visit next year and the Dominican Republic made the list.
The new Environment minister Bautista Rojas in Dominican Republic said the country joined yesterday’s International Mountains Day celebrations with several activities to mark an event held since 2003, when the United Nations set aside every December 11 to raise awareness on their sustainable use.

“A tourism culture incorporates the social, cultural, environmental and economic needs of communities and countries, and oriented towards community benefits, of better said, it provides profits for every person and sectors involved”, Central America Tourism Integration secretary Mercedes Melendez said.
