Fostering the exchange of knowledge and experiences among professionals from the musical industry is the proposal of Primera Línea Music International Forum, which is scheduled to hold its second edition in the Cuban capital on September 20-23.
The event will take place at Alicia Alonso Havana Grand Theater and its aim is set on showing the development reached by Cuba’s present musical scene and its potential, with a view to the positioning in the international market.
Primera Línea can be defined as an exchang platform between Cuban artistic talent, musicologists, producers and professional linked to the industry on the one hand, and international delegates interested in the spreading and marketing of Cuban music on the other hand. It’s all about space open to the exchange and collaboration between Cuba’s official partners and non-governmental producers from the world music circuit.
The second edition of the Forum will be focused on lectures, workshops, showcases and networking opportunities, devoted to establishing contacts between music producers and Cuban artists, with a special approach to the Cuba-United States relations.
The 2nd Primera Línea Music International Forum, organized by Cuba’s Culture Ministry, produced by ENDIRECTO and Cuban holding Artex S.A, with the participation of Cuban institutions EGREM, Abdala Studios, Cuban Music Research Center, Bis Music, record label of Artex S.A. and international partners WOMEX and Nordesia, is an excellent opportunity to get in touch with Havana and its music.
