Plan to manage the Southeastern Coral Reef Sanctuary in the Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo.- An agreement to manage the Southeastern Coral Reef Sanctuary in the Dominican Republic was signed by the Environment Ministry, the Group Puntacana Foundation and the La Altagracia Province Tourism Cluster.

The proposed Management Plan aims to guarantee the natural conditions to protect species, groups of species, biotic communities and cultural and archaeological resources. It also aims to ensure the economic benefits derived from eco-tourism and sustainable use of its resources, the Environment Ministry said in a statement.
