Moscow.- The Cuban Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) informed in Moscow that more than 81,700 Russians traveled to Cuba through December 15, a one-year record.
Estefania Escobar, director of the Office of the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) in Russia said the figure far exceeds the 78,468 visitors in 2011, as 2012 approaches its end, according to Cuban agency Prensa Latina. She said that growth has been achieved for three years in a row.
As usual, Cuba will participated in the Russian tourism fairs Inturmarket, MITT, Leisure in Moscow and CIS Travel Market in St. Petersburg, she said. A campaign called Authentic Cuba is appearing in a large network of shops, hotels and sites for official meetings, as well as on LED screens in stadiums and on the streets not only in the capital but also in other major cities.
