New York.- JetBlue Airways Corp. ( JBLU ), the largest airline in Puerto Rico, has launched a program to support both short-term relief and long-term recovery efforts on the island in the wake of the destruction from Hurricane Maria.
The airline has outlined its commitment to launching 35 initiatives over the next 100 days to support the needs of crew members, customers, and communities in Puerto Rico. The program has been dubbed the “100X35JetBlue” to honor the popular reference to Puerto Rico’s 100×35 mile size. Immediate steps under the program include daily relief flights, capped fares, waiver of fees for bags and pets, and delivery of essential supplies.
