Another of the important actions in the commemorative day was the opening of the Leisure Club of Trinidad – reports escambray.cu – investment financed by the Ministry of Tourism that will be operated by the Palmares Extra-hotel Group, located in a property of patrimonial value, located in the more commercial street, which thus regains its presence. It has five game rooms, modern simulation equipment, a cafeteria and spaces for children’s activities.

Other works are added such as the openings of markets and the El Marino restaurant, expansion of the housing plant of the Ancón hotel, resuscitation of several streets, inauguration of a nursery in a restored 19th century mansion, completion of houses and a new room in the local hospital.

A trace of the old colonial splendor, this ancient city is considered by experts as one of the best-preserved colonial cities in America, with buildings from the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries, exhibiting a combination of styles with an environmental coherence not altered in over the years, hence its nickname of Museum City.

Distinguished by its cobbled streets crossed by carriages drawn by horses in the colonial style; typical architecture of immense windows with high poyos, iron balustrades or turned precious wood, continuous balconies, cozy interior patios, borders, arches, red tiles and old decorations; and affable and simple people permeated by old traditions and protagonists of a harmonious marketing with the local sustainable project.
