The Canadian airline, Swoop will extend its winter schedule to Cuba with new routes, frequencies, and services, as announced in Ottawa and Havana.

Swoop will start its new season on January 11, 2023 without stops between the city of Toronto and the resort of Varadero.

Tia McGrath, director of Distribution and Sales of that company, disclosed to the press that Cuba is at the forefront of vacation destinations for Canadians, as part of its expansion to the Caribbean.

She also reaffirmed the commitment to the region through more convenient rates.

The director of the Cuban Tourist Board, Lessner Gomez, told the Cuban agency Prensa Latina that the new association means more tourist capacity for the island.

As part of its winter schedule, the company will restart service to some popular routes, such as Cancun, in Mexico.

Swoop has also partnered with The Special Travel Corporation, whose travel agents book customized packages with low-fare flights.

Established in 2018 as an independent subsidiary of the WestJet group of companies, the association offers scheduled service to destinations in Canada, the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
