Milan’s 2017 International Tourism Fair (BIT) is taking place with the participation of 2,000 companies and will last until next Tuesday in the Fieramilanocity fairgrounds and the Mi.Co. Convention Center.
The event, which has become one of the most relevant meetings of the tourist industry worldwide, and organized by Fiera Milano, is expecting more than 50,000 visitors and more than 1,500 media professionals are covering it.
The exhibition is divided into four principal areas according to the travel objectives and reasons: leisure, luxury, MICE and sports. Spaces are also being dedicated to ecotourism, wedding, digital and sports tourism and even to the LGBY segment.
Moreover, the principal attractions of the different Italian regions are being exhibited.
From the Caribbean, destinations like Cuba, Dominican Republic, Aruba, and Anguilla are participating and many others that are seeking to attract new visitors from the Italian market and to position their offers on an international level.
In 2016 the fair closed its doors with close to 50,000 visitors and more than 2,000 participating companies, similar to the current figures, although this year the number of visitors is expected to increase.
