The German Eurowings airline is currently opening two new routes to Cuba, with weekly charter flights from the cities of Munich and Düsseldorf to Abel Santamaría International Airport in Santa Clara, in the central region of the island.
The operation, together with the FTI Touristik tour operator, will have the Düsseldorf-Santa Clara inaugural flight on March 18, and will continue every week until May 18. Meanwhile, the Munich-Santa Clara route will begin on March 22 and will run until May 3, according to Buen Viaje. The use of Airbus A330-200s is expected for all flights.
This new connection between the central region of Cuba and Germany will make it possible to expand the access means to the Cayos de Villa Clara, a destination much in demand by German tourists. In Cuba, Eurowings also flies to important destinations such as Havana and Varadero.
