Representatives of the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association were in Panama to learn about the new Panama Cruise Terminal, whose construction is well underway on the Pacific side of the country.

Minister of Maritime Affairs Jorge Barakat Pitty, together with deputy minister Alejandro Agustín Moreno and the general director of Ports and Auxiliary Maritime Industries Guimara Tuñón received the delegation.

The Panama Cruise Terminal will have the capacity to handle two large cruise ships with a total of 10,000 passengers simultaneously. The first ships are expected to call before year’s end.
