Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic).- The ITB Berlin tourism fair, to be held March 5-9 in Messe Berlin, will have a marked presence of the Dominican Republic, Rosalinda Thomas, representative of ITB Berlin for the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean, announced.
Some of the plans the Dominican tourist sector has for the ITB include the creation of an investment forum on March 6, with the aim of attracting new markets, especially in the real estate area, since tourism investments today benefit from new and extensive fiscal incentives throughout the Dominican Republic.
The Dominican Republic also stands out for having a 400-square-meter stand, one of the largest in this fair, one of the most important worldwide.
Up to now, the Ministry of Tourism has received the confirmation of the participation of more than 25 companies related to the national tourist sector: Sixtrent a car, Be Live & Luabay, Palladium Hotel Group, Bolsa Turística del Caribe (BTC), Banco Popular Dominicano S.A.- Banco Múltiple, Amhsa Marina Hotels & Resorts, IFA Villas Bavaro Resort & Spa, Viva Wyndham Resorts, VIK Hotels Group, Eden Rock at Cap Cana, De Hola Tours & Travel, Sanctuary Cap Cana-ALSOL Hotels & Resorts, Sivory Punta Cana Boutique Hotel, Punta Cana Resort & Club, Caribbean Nexus Tours, Coral Hospitality Corp, VH Hotels & Resorts, Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Resort, Travel Service West Indies, Majestic Resorts and the Tourist Cluster of the Puerto Plata Destination.
This year’s ITB will be focused on human rights in tourism and the participation of some 180 countries has already been confirmed.
