Point of View. COVID-19: Cuba to quarantine tourists, close borders for month

The Cuban Ministry of Transportation (MITRANS), along with other agencies, made available the online D’Viajeros computer system, therefore as of January 1, 2022, the physical forms can no longer be used, and the filling out of the digital application form will be mandatory, reported the official newspaper Granma.

The application, available on the www.dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu website, facilitates the experience of travelers in their transit through the country, and provides information to streamline procedures at the different points of entry.

Regarding the filling out of the form, the traveler must have general, immigration, health and customs information; once completed, a document in PDF format with the QR code is sent by email, which must be shown, either on a device or in print, to accredited personnel in Cuba.

The text highlights that given that as of the first day of 2022, the digital filling out of this form will be mandatory, as of this November 15 until December 31 of this year the use of said electronic form will be promoted to gain experience.

It also emphasizes that it is mandatory for each passenger arriving in the country to truthfully complete the information provided to the Department of Identification, Immigration and Aliens, the General Customs and the Ministry of Public Health.
