The guests list features, among others, NABFEME-members and moms of artistes of the like of Alicia Keyes, Common, Ludacris and Mos Def. They are also engaged in the Celebrity Moms project, which allow them to spend time in a wellness retreat.
For Derede Samuel-Whitlock, Director of Tourism in the US, which is also involved in the Celebrity Moms retreat project, the event will benefit Antigua and Barbuda's efforts to become the entertainment center of the Eastern Caribbean. "We hope to attract the attention of their children and the media, but also use this opportunity to address some of the critical issues that families face today. Through dialogue and networking we hope to garner the support of the wider entertainment community and increase the likelihood of establishing stronger ties with support groups and organizations throughout the United States."
At the event, which will also attract women in government, participants will discuss social issues affecting families and will facilitate dialogue, mentorship and thought leadership among female executives.
