St John's.- The Ministry of Tourism Of Antigua and Barbuda Islands has Launched 2010 Staycation Survey which will serve to highlight the key areas needed for improvement going forward into next year's event, the ministry said.
According to Vashti Ramsey Committee Chairperson, "in order to improve upon past events, the Staycation Committee has decided to gather feedback from past patrons and participants signaling their likes, dislikes and suggestions with the intention of using the information gathered to make changes to various aspects of the expo".
The event which has been held for the past 2 years has seen hundreds of nationals in attendance seeking special rates and options for their on-island vacation experience.
All nationals are asked to participate in this survey as it will serve to benefit not just tourism stakeholders, namely the tour operators, hoteliers and such, but visitors will also benefit from the opportunity their participation in the Staycation exercise has to offer.
The annual "Staycations Expo" features the diverse tourism product offered in Antigua and Barbuda via booth displays of promotional information on properties, tours, excursions, and entertainment for locals as well as attractive rates for locals to enjoy such activities. (Source: www.antigua.gov.ag)
