St. John's.- John Maginley, the Antigua Tourism Minister, made a series of familiarization trips to various nationals hotel properties and tourist attractions "in an effort to gather first- hand experience of the nation’s chief tourism products", the government said.
An official report said Maginley most recent trip took the Minister along the Fig Tree Drive where he made a stop at the Antigua Rain Forest Canopy Tours and participated in the zip-line adventure. The Antigua Rainforest Canopy Tour is a unique eco-tour through Antigua’s rainforest where guests embark on a 21 element journey through lush greenery, high above the trees.
There are 9 zip-lines, 2 suspension bridges, a unique absolutely safe 36 feet controlled descent ‘LEAP OF FAITH’ and a 9 element challenge course.
The Minister said that was invited by the proprietors "who wanted me to experience the fun and excitement that has become synonymous with The Zipline Adventure”.
According to Minister Maginley he has placed a stamp of approval on the adventure and suggests that visitors as well as Antiguans and Barbudans embark on the adventure for themselves. (Source: A & B Government News)
