Antigua and Barbuda Ministry of Tourism Invites to the Tourism Week

St John's.- The Ministry of Tourism has said that the upcoming tourism week activities are open for all ranks and sectors of the society as a way to enhance awareness among the population over the importance of the country's main earner and job supplier.
Activities, which will start on November 23 under the theme Realizing the True Potential of the Tourism Industry, include the National Tourism Conference, featuring Minister of Tourism, Harold Lovell, as the main speaker. Lovell will deliver the State of the Industry address.
"We feel it is necessary that all sectors recognize the importance of tourism to the economy. This is why we have decided to take the week to look at the new avenues for growth, and to see where the private and public sector, can work together to further develop our tourism product, so that more persons can benefit," said Director General of Tourism, Corthwright Marshall.
The Hospitality Industry Careers Road Show, the Barbuda Day and Tourism Marketplace are also high on the event's agenda. Conducting such activities will be tourism stakeholders, Ministers of Government and media members.
