Barbados Tourism Minister Asks Tourism Authority to Improve Marketing
Bridgetown.- Barbados' Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy said he hopes the Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA) embraces a more aggressive and efficient marketing policy upon completion of its restructuring operation. The official anticipated that by next October he wants to take proposals to Cabinet for their approval.
"Marketing Barbados all over the world is an immense task that the BTA has, and it is the view of Government that nothing should encumber that task," he said. Changes include appointing a new BTA's president as well as paying the Caribbean, Latin American and European markets the same attention Canada, the United States and Britain get.
According to Sealy, the BTA needs to undertake a more responsive and efficient marketing approach and for that aim, his ministry will review the entity's overall structure.
