Havanatur and Cubana Airlines lead Argentine tourism to Cuba
Buenos Aires.- Prensa Latina, from Cuba, reports that the Havanatur travel agency and Cubana Airlines took the lead in Argentine tourism to Cuba in the five months of 2011.
According to the report released Havanatur became the No. 1 tour operator for destination Cuba, sending 12.4 percent of Argentine tourists to Cuba via various airlines, between last January and March. That rate rose to 29.6 percent when considering just the production of Cubana Airlines.
Other operators with major results in using Cubana Airlines were Julia Tours (24.4 percent), Solways (18.4 percent) and Eurovip (10 percent).
Cubana Airlines, the top Cuban airline, had transported more than 16,400 passengers, the equivalent of 43.27 percent of Argentines who visited Cuba. Copa Airline, for its part, achieved a participation rate of 19.34 percent, followed by Taca (12.86). (Source: PrensaLatina)
