Cuban Cigar Festival in Havana was a success
Havana.- The 12th Habano Cigar Festival end in Havana with an expensive cigars auction that entered more than 800 thousand Euros, organizers said.
The five days XII Festival of the Cigar announced the assistance of almost 2000 smokers from 70 countries.
In the auction that closed the festival, were sale six lots of Cuban Habano cigars new brand Premium and a Humidor, for a conservation of habanos. This piece was sold by 400,000 Euros.
The Festival attracted an illustrious group of artists, musicians and sports people from the entire world. The list includes musicians invited by famous local pianist Chucho Valdes, like Brazilian singer Ivan Lins and the Portuguese fado interpreter Mariza for a concert in the Grand Theater of Havana.
Joining the group are British Christopher Menaul, movie and TV director winner of the BAFTA prize of British cinema. Also from Britain came Sarah Brightman, soprano, actress and dancer who interprets the genre called Classical Crossover.
Another participant was the British Stephen Evans, producer of 14 movies and 11 nominations to the Oscar of which he received two statues when in 1989 he associated to Kenneth Branagh and founded Renaissance Films. (Source: Prensa Latina)
