Dominica Calls Divers to Discover the Island’s Immersed Beauties

Roseau. - The Dominica Watersports Association has called divers from all over the world to discover the island’s immersed beauties during the upcoming Dive Fest, the oldest Dive Festival in the Caribbean.
The 10-day environmentally-focused event, slated for the second week of July along the entire East Coast, from Scotts Head to Portsmouth, remains truthful to its primary objective of showcasing “the renowned marine environment of Dominica to visitors and residents alike”, noted Colin Piper, Director of Tourism at Discover Dominica Authority. “Visitors are invited to join in and experience the best the island has to offer, with endless adventures both above and below the surface. If you need a reason to visit Dominica, Dive Fest is it.”
The festival is open for would-be divers and snorkelers as young as eight, who are offered free of charge introductory sessions. As for intermediate and expert scuba divers, the event’s agenda includes underwater treasure hunts, photography competitions and the chance to borrow and test out new equipment such as an underwater camera by Sealife.
